Blessings

I talk a lot in my blog about blessings.  Matt and I are truly, wonderfully blessed.  We have amazing families.  We have fantastic friends.  We have a great house with an awesome dog.  Matt has a good job, and I've been accepted to a great grad school program.  We have both greatly improved our health in this past year and are living better for it.  And this past week, we had 2 awesome little girls hanging out with us.  My great-nieces, Brie and Lauren (Lo-Lo :) ) came to stay with us for "daycare" for the week.  We had an absolute blast.  Monday we made cards for birthdays and anniversaries coming up and met friends at a park.  Tuesday we went with Uncle Matt to Dogwood Pool, went grocery shopping for his birthday lunch and made his birthday brownies.  Wednesday we decorated brownies with icing, LOTS of sprinkles and candles.  We had a birthday party for Uncle Matt and went to see Despicable Me after buying WalMart "movie candy".  On Thursday we went with great friends to the Akron Zoo, which was a blast!  Friday we made cupcakes and cards to take with us to the Police and Fire Department where we got to crawl around on fire trucks, ambulances and tour both departments. We had "girl home movie day" that afternoon, ate popcorn, candy, pop and painted our toe and fingernails.

Needless to say, it was an awesome week.  But why am I telling you all of this?  Here's a confession to you, my dear readers:  Matt and I had started to doubt whether or not kids were in the cards for us.  It's been longer than a year since our last miscarriage and we are great together - just us and Winston.  Life is good this way.  Maybe this is what our life is supposed to be like forever.  Then, Brie and Lo came to stay.  :)  We're convinced that parenting is in our future.  We love spending time with them and can't wait to have our own kids to hang out with.

Please say prayers as we venture into this again.  I'm not saying anything about our thoughts on a time schedule, because we're going to be very cautious about who we tell this time and when (hopefully you understand).  As you can imagine, the thought of another pregnancy is quite scary, so send lots of prayers that God will help our next baby survive to come home!
